Maree is an internationally recognised communications and corporate affairs leader with deep experience in corporate communication strategy, stakeholder engagement, complex change and issues management.

Over the past 20 years, she has advised on high-profile matters for listed, public and government, private and not-for-profit organisations in New Zealand, Australia, Singapore and China.

Maree is valued for her strategic thinking and ability to leverage communication to drive commercial and organisational outcomes.

She has unique experience in the food and fibre sectors, having consulted to Fonterra across all facets of its business in New Zealand, Australia and China over a 10-year period. She has led successful market entry and growth strategies for international food producers entering New Zealand and led the communications review of New Zealand’s response to mycoplasma bovis.

Maree also brings unique experience in transformation, having supported high profile New Zealand organisations through sensitive leadership changes and organisational restructures.

Her crisis management experience includes cyber-attacks, workplace deaths, natural disasters, fraud and major food safety breaches. She is also experienced in legal issues, having supported individuals and organisations through complex litigation, including Commerce Commission investigations.

Maree holds a Bachelor of Arts with First Class Honours in Political Science and Media Studies.
